Selected for the MITOU Program

On June 29, 2026, the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) published the results of its FY2026 Exploratory IT Human Resources Project (the MITOU Program). Hiroya Mitachi, representative partner of DreamDive LLC, was listed as one of the selected creators.

The program selects individual creators, and the application, the selection, and the commissioning contract with IPA are all in Hiroya Mitachi's own name. DreamDive LLC is not the selected party, nor a party to the contract.

  • Project theme: Development of an LLM-driven dream experience design engine
  • Project Manager: Prof. Masahiko Inami
  • Selection: 21 projects selected out of 279 applications

About the project

The project develops a system that uses large language models (LLMs) to design dream experiences. The development period runs from June 2026 to March 2027, with a final presentation scheduled for February 2027.

Any experiments involving human participants will be conducted only after approval by an ethics review committee.

Closing

We are grateful to IPA and to PM Inami for this opportunity.

This project is carried out as Hiroya Mitachi's individual work. DreamDive LLC continues its own research and development in lucid dreaming and dream engineering.

The project abstract and IPA's rationale for the selection are published on IPA's project overview page.
